Our Roots

Somos La Tierra Co.

From the soil, we rise.

Somos La Tierra was never something I sat down and neatly planned on a piece of paper.

It came out of losing, grieving, starting over, surviving things I never thought I would have to survive, and trying like hell to figure out who I was on the other side of all of it.

There were years when I was rebuilding myself while quietly building everything else at the same time. Learning new skills. Starting things. Scrapping things. Trying again. Moving to Texas. Working on this property. Dreaming bigger than what I could actually see in front of me. Some days believing in it completely, and other days wondering what the hell I was doing.

But I kept going.

And somewhere in all that mess, these pieces started showing up.

The part of me that loves creating beautiful memories became La Tierra Luxe.

The part of me that knows what it feels like to crawl your way back to yourself became Built in The Mess.

The wild, soft, healing part became Gracefully Feral.

The part of me raised by women who fed people, helped people, and believed we take care of our own became Somos Juntos.

The little girl who could spend hours digging through Grandma’s clothes, jewelry, buttons, and treasures became La Tierra Tiendita.

And the piece of land I kept looking at and thinking, there is more here, became At La Tierra, the place where all of it finally gets to come together.

For a long time I thought I was building a bunch of different things.

I wasn’t.

I was rebuilding a life.

And every time I found another piece of myself, somehow another branch grew with it.

That is Somos La Tierra Co.

It isn’t one business pretending to be six different businesses. It is one story with a lot of chapters. One set of roots growing in different directions.

Some of it is business. Some of it is healing. Some of it is family. Some of it is community. Some of it is beautiful and some of it was built right in the middle of absolute fucking chaos.

But all of it is mine.

And now I’m creating a place where other people can bring all of their pieces too.

You don’t have to show up finished here.

You don’t have to have your life figured out.

You can shop something that makes you feel good, celebrate something worth remembering, sit around a table with people you didn’t know yesterday, learn something, create something, rebuild something, give something back, or simply remember a part of yourself you haven’t seen in a while.

Because if this journey has taught me anything, it is that life doesn’t grow in a straight line.

Neither do we.

From the soil, we rise.
Messy. Rooted. Still becoming. Together.
